un evento nato nel 2018,  dedito alla messa in scena di prime esecuzioni assolute in Calabria. Il Festival viene finanziato fin da subito dalla Regione Calabria. Gli spettacoli vengono allestiti nei pi\u00f9 importanti siti culturali del territorio, come: il borgo antico di Gerace; la Chiesa Monumentale di San Francesco D\u2019Assisi \u2013 Gerace; il Teatro Greco Romano di Locri Epizefiri \u2013 Portigliola; Anfiteatro Comunale \u2013 Soverato. Il festival, quindi,  si prefigge di valorizzare la crescita della produzione musicale in calabria e la valorizzazione, attraverso la musica, dei beni culturali materiali ed immateriali e delle professionalit\u00e0 e delle eccellenze calabresi. Calabria in Opera Festival ha realizzato nella nostra regione alcune opere tra le pi\u00f9 importanti al mondo. Ricordiamo ben tre rappresentazioni dell\u2019Histoire du Soldat di Igor Stravinskij (protagonista-narratore Gigi Miseferi, direttore d\u2019orchestra Alessandro Tirotta e la Senocrito Festival Orchestra) e l\u2019esecuzione de Il Carnevale degli Animali di Camille Saint Saens avvenuta anche in diretta streaming (Senocrito Festival Orchestra, direttore Alessandro Tirotta, introduzione all\u2019opera a cura del Maestro Loredana Pelle). Di quest\u2019ultima \u00e8 stata altres\u00ec realizzata un\u2019incisione discografica anche a scopo didattico.
